Supernova is usually one of my favorite events out of the national finals and while Latvia’s winners deserved to win, they didn’t really beat anyone to do it making me feel like Latvia could have been holding back on us. Continue reading ESC 2017 Review: Latvia – Where We Draw The Line →

I don’t have anything clever to say about Iceland because Iceland didn’t send their clever entry and instead sent this (still great) more standard song. Continue reading ESC 2017 Review: Iceland – Cut Like Paper →

This is a completely unique song but there’s a lot of things to unpack also. There’s also a long part where there is no singing during the song as well so we’ll see if that spells trouble for Hungary. Continue reading ESC 2017 Review: Hungary – Make Some Noise →

Israel is one of the few countries to send three male solo singers in a row (sans band even!). I don’t know what it is in the water there but it’s brought them good luck so power to them. Continue reading ESC 2017 Review: Israel – I Feel Okay →

Completing the set of sub 21 year boys in Eurovision it’s Ireland. I don’t know if Ireland knows if it even wants to win anymore but at least this years song is the polar opposite of their song last year. Continue reading ESC 2017 Review: Ireland – 20 Year Old Sings Age Appropriate Song →

I love Finland so much. The land of Lordi and Krista Siegfrids! Does their song for this year have wings? Or will they have to Sing It Away again? Continue reading ESC 2017 Review: Finland – Blackbird Can Sing →
